What is the EU AI Act?
The EU AI Act is the EU's first comprehensive regulation for artificial intelligence. It takes full effect from summer 2026 and sorts AI systems into risk classes, from unacceptable risk (banned) to minimal risk (few obligations).

Violations can be fined up to 35 million euros or 7% of global annual turnover, whichever is higher.
